SPA membership is currently intended for people who are involved in, are currently undertaking or have completed a course of study at the Asia Pacific Centre for Social Investment and Philanthropy. This can and does include lecturers and people who have undertaken single subjects on a workshop basis. We basically like to see evidence that you are interested in increasing philanthropic knowledge (both your own and others) because that is what we are about. 

‘The Swinburne Philanthropy Alumni (SPA) provides me with an opportunity of continuing to work with a community of kindred spirits to share ideas, stimulate creativity and hopefully do some things together that will enhance the profile of effective philanthropy in Australia. With a combination of effort and luck hopefully we make at least a minor contribution to the betterment of our broader society. Financial Membership

• New membership is by application form and approved by the Committee.
• There is an annual fee (currently $20 for 2009/2010) but no entrance fee.
• Membership renewal is by payment of the annual fee due by 1st July.

Eventually we will add the membership application form into this section but for now please contact us (using the Contact Us menu option) and we will get the form to you.

Casual (Email List) Membership

If you do not want to become a financial member at this point you can join our general email list so that we can keep you informed on a semi-regular basis of our major news, events and activities. You will be able to attend (obligation-free) as many of these as you like to see if SPA membership is for you.
